Canvas Print Vs Photo Prints - PhotographyTalk

Some people prefer to look at canvas prints because they are more "at the moment" and feel more personal. Some people prefer photo prints because they can be put anywhere. Both canvas prints and photo prints have their advantages, here are, I share my thoughts on canvas prints and photo prints, so keep reading.

  • Canvas Print is often viewed as more of a piece of art rather than an item for storage or decoration. Even if you are not using the picture it will still be worth hanging on your wall because the artwork has meaning to it. The best canvas print is comprised of a large rectangle-shaped fabric, intricately stretched around two wooden frames, which are then sandwiched together with the artwork mounted to the sturdy backing. The reason why it is so permanent and hardy is that each piece of fabric for this type of print is sewn together by hand - so there's additional careful stitching involved during the production process.

  • Photo Prints on paper allow you to display images without having them framed or hung on a wall. Meaning they're not as expensive, but they will still last for years if treated well. In terms of durability, photo prints can typically wear out from repeated bending or folding/creasing (& crumpling!) from frequent use & bouncing around. Photo prints are great when you want something quick, consistent in size, aesthetically pleasing, and desired by many people. It comes with an option to choose which paper/paint finish look would best match your interior decor (satin finish paper).

I personally suggest Canvas prints, Because canvas prints are an excellent way to preserve images in a high-quality print that is also suitable for framing. They are popular because they do not fade like typical inkjet or laser printer photographs, and the image will last as long as the canvas does. When you want something with more depth than typical photo printing, look no further than canvas prints - it's worth considering when deciding between digital photos vs prints on canvas!
